Overview

For users moving from OpenVMS to UNIX, Linux, or Windows, VCL provides a consistent command line interface.

Duplicating the familiar command interface of OpenVMS, VCL allows users to continue using familiar commands while providing a means to learn UNIX commands at their own pace.

VCL will also allow existing OpenVMS command files to be moved to and executed on UNIX systems.

Avoid retraining expense, user frustration, and preserve the investment already made in OpenVMS by providing a familiar tool as users migrate from OpenVMS to other platforms.
