Overview

For companies moving from OpenVMS to UNIX(including Linux) Vbackup provides a means of moving data from OpenVMS to UNIX systems and back. Used in conjunction with VCL, it also functions with the familiar OpenVMS command syntax. Data archived using OpenVMS BACKUP can now be restored on UNIX systems.
Vbackup also functions as a UNIX backup tool that can archive UNIX file systems with the dependability and convenience formerly available only on OpenVMS systems.
